Jen was an incredible partner in helping my son navigate a non-traditional college path, which included a vocational high school and desire to major in Film. She took the time to get to know him, built a genuine connection, and provided guidance and a wealth of information every step of the way. Jen is able to take a process that could be incredibly overwhelming and make it clear, organized, and infinitely easier. Jen is warm, flexible, incredibly encouraging and deeply knowledgable about colleges and the application process. We are so grateful for her support and guidance and would highly recommend her to any family navigating the college search process.

Jen graduated from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BBA in Accounting and a minor in English. Over the next decade, she worked first as a CPA and then as Vice President of Finance for a large real estate development firm. Jen’s passion for youth development motivated her and two friends to co-found Active Kids + Minds (formerly Reebok’s BOKS program), a before-school physical activity program for elementary students. Jen’s dedication played a pivotal role in the program’s rapid growth, expanding from five schools in Natick, MA, to more than 12,000 schools worldwide.
Taking time to raise her children, Jen immersed herself further into volunteer work, chairing committees and holding leadership roles on community boards. She guided her children through their college search processes, gaining valuable insights into athletic recruiting, college transfers, and graduate school. Her three older children graduated from Boston College (‘21) and Tufts University (‘23, ‘26), and her second son is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at Columbia. Her younger children attend the University of Washington and Indiana University, while her youngest son is in high school.
As the Program Director for a nonprofit supporting widowed parents and their children, Jen revitalized their high school-to-college transition program. Her experiences inspired her to enroll in UCLA’s College Counseling Certificate Program, graduating with distinction. Jen’s welcoming demeanor and curiosity help students discover their motivations, articulate their strengths, and authentically capture the essence of their lived experiences and aspirations.
Jen completed the IECA Summer Training Institute (2025) and is an Associate Member of IECA.
Jen is a devoted advocate for equity in education and continues her volunteer work with many community-based organizations:
I appreciate the diligent work you have done through the entire process, keeping F. accountable for decisions and ensuring timely progress. You nudged her when needed and pushed her at other times. The high level of creativity and personality in the essays and supplementals are also a result of your guidance and encouragement. No matter the responses F. will be receiving come December, from the bottom of my heart thank you for all you have done to inform, guide and help us to this point. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Q + A with Jennifer
What do you enjoy most about working with students?
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping students recognize what makes them unique. Many start by focusing on grades, test scores, and accomplishments, but over time they gain confidence and a deeper understanding of themselves and what matters most. Watching that growth and helping students find colleges where they will thrive is truly a privilege.
What makes your approach different?
Having guided my children through a range of educational paths—including athletic recruiting, transfers, and graduate school—I understand that every student is different. My work in youth development and college access has underscored the importance of listening first and understanding what matters most to each student. I strive to help students identify opportunities that align with their unique strengths, interests, and goals.
